About The Company:

This medical software company provides data- driven analytics and performance management solutions to healthcare organizations. The company wanted to build a Denial Management AI application POC on AWS to achieve faster and more accurate claims denials for their customers but faced inflated costs of working with a systems integrator on a fixed-bid SOW as well as a time crunch for project deliverables. ReluTech offered a staff augmentation solution that hand-selected resources at a fraction of the cost, saving the company tens of thousands of dollars in 2024. With ReluTech’s help, the company accelerated their time to release and now has the ability to deploy the new application to multiple customers simultaneously.

The Challenge

  • Two roles: Sr. Serverless Software Engineer, AWS Architect (FHIR/Serverless)
  • Both roles required a combination of hard-to- find skillsets — expertise in C#/NET Core, AWS Serverless stack, Spark, DBT, Iceberg tables, Terraform, ETLs using AWS Glue
  • Recruitment began on August 14, 2024, and both positions needed to be identified by September 1, 2024, giving the ReluTech recruiting team only 2 weeks to source the right individuals
  • Cost — keeping the hourly rates below $160 for highly skilled resources required us to look in lower cost-of-living areas for the right remote resources
  • A challenging interview process with highly selective hiring managers

The Solution

ReluTech was uniquely qualified to help the customer overcome these challenges. Unlike traditional AWS consulting partners, ReluTech does not maintain a bench of engineers and architects. Following an in-depth discovery call and the expedited execution of a Talent Solutions Agreement, the ReluTech team sourced and presented six qualified candidates in the span of 5 working days and then facilitated interviews the following week. Ultimately, two individuals were selected by the company to fill the positions. Both hires started in early September, and one was converted to an FTE in January 2025.

ReluTech offered competitive hourly rates that allowed the customer to stay within budget. Additionally, ReluTech's AWS Certified Recruiters were able to not only find the individuals who possessed this hard-to-fill skillset but speak with them at a technical level to sufficiently qualify them for the roles. The customer's team was impressed.

The Result

The customer avoided a costly SOW and met their deadlines by choosing to work with ReluTech. Following these two hires, ReluTech became further engaged with the company's team, being introduced to Talent Acquisition and HR as well as other hiring teams. As the customer continues to grow, ReluTech will help them scale with contract, contract-to-hire, and full-time hires across their technology organization.
