Totaling over $10,000
No, this isn’t the daily report of a shift at Santa’s workshop. These are the totals that ReluTech, with the aid of our partners Metro Power, Nelson Mullins, and Smart 3rd Party, donated to Toys for Tots this year.
We have continued our yearly tradition of going on a massive shopping spree as a company, with the goal of providing hundreds of kids with the joy of opening a gift this holiday season.
This year, we had a slight change of venue from our usual Toys R US experience. Instead, we took over the toy aisles at the Peachtree Corners Target. Special shout out the Target employees there, they were absolutely incredible! Not only did they cheerfully greet us in Santa hats, with carts ready to go, but they also had a Starbucks Latte cart handing out holiday drinks to keep us fueled up throughout the morning.
This is, by far, my favorite company event of the year. We get to put ourselves in the shoes of kids (for some of us, that’s not that big of a stretch) and pick out all the awesome toys that we would have loved to open on Christmas morning.
Our CEO, Mark Metz, has done this with his companies for the past 5 years. It is an awesome way to bring the company together for a charitable cause and express one of our core values at ReluTech, “Paying it Forward”. It’s a chance for us to give back to the community and have a ton of fun in the process.
