Ladies in Technology at ReluTech is our own internal version of the Women in Technology group, open to both men and women in our office. We meet once a month to discuss our goals, and this helps to make us more accountable. These goals can be anything from health, leadership, work-life balance, or even our 5-year plans. Working together allows us to learn more about how we can obtain these personal goals.
One of the most important things that we do as a group is to encourage professional development. As a woman today, a work environment can be slightly different than that of our male counterparts. What better way to help us reach our goals in the work environment than to learn from women who have done it before us? The best way to do this is by reading and discussing novels through our book club within LIT. Not only do we read in LIT, but at ReluTech as well, such as the novel Lean In by Nell Scovell and Sheryl Sandberg, an inspiring novel that reminds us all to strive for higher goals and remember that no one is perfect at balancing everything.
Our work environment is always pushing for our personal development, but having a group of ladies like we have here helps to build an unbeatable atmosphere.
