About The Company:

This HealthTech provider is an SMB specializing in HealthTech, Data, and Homecare Solutions. The company is based in Long Island, NY, and has undergone several acquisitions between 2020-2023. The company’s goal is to consolidate its infrastructure in AWS, driven by the need for cost efficiency, scalability, performance, and reliability.

The Challenge

After acquiring multiple smaller companies, the customer sought to consolidate its infrastructure in AWS. The main drivers for this migration were cost savings, scalability, performance improvements, and enhanced reliability. The customer aimed to complete this migration efficiently while managing and disposing of their physical IT assets from multiple data center locations.

The Solution

Initial discussions with the customer began in 2022, focusing on their AWS migration plans. Instead of using a System Integrator partner for the MAP migration delivery, the customer collaborated directly with AWS, utilizing in-house resources. ReluTech re-engaged in April 2024 to assist in monetizing their data center assets and ensuring compliant disposal of redundant equipment. ReluTech appraised the inventory, securing a market value of $33,500, and executed a Master Purchase and Pickup Order (MPPO) on July 5th, 2024, for the removal and disposal services at four data center locations: Ohio, New Jersey, Florida, and New York.

The Results

ReluTech delivered a comprehensive IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) solution, ensuring compliant disposal of data center equipment while providing a financial return. The solution included de-installation, packing, shipping, data sanitization, and issuing R2v3 certifications for each device. Upon completion, the customer received a payment of $33,500 for the equipment.

The Outcome

The collaboration between ReluTech and AWS was crucial in creating comprehensive solutions for the customer. Ryan Verola, AWS SMB NY representative, played a pivotal role in the partnership. The key factors in winning the deal included ReluTech's ability to provide a fair market appraisal of the customer's IT assets, efficient execution of the MPPO, and seamless coordination for the removal and disposal of equipment. This partnership resulted in the customer achieving $800k ARR in new cloud spend with AWS, fully consolidating their infrastructure.
