Bluesight and ReluTech began a conversation at the end of December 2023, and subsequently followed up with a need to evacuate its two data centers both located in Chesire, CT. Bluesight had less than 45 days to deinstall and remove data center equipment from two data centers.
ReluTech delivered a comprehensive IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) solution, ensuring compliant disposal of data center equipment while providing a financial return. The solution included de-installation, shipping, data erasure, pack and ship services and issuing R2v3 certifications for each device. Upon completion, Bluesight was able to pay for ReluTech’s asset disposition services and still have cash leftover for reallocation to other projects.
Not only did Bluesight responsibly reduce its carbon footprint and potential e-waste by allowing ReluTech to sustainably remove its excess legacy hardware, they were also able to accelerate their AWS migration by 60 days.
Through ReluTech’s comprehensive cloud acceleration services, Blusight was able to receive fair market value for their IT assets. The efficient coordination of removal and disposal of equipment helped Bluesight meet data center evacuation timelines for both locations.
