Truelio is a fast-growing technology and services company focused on delivering digital marketing and communications solutions for enterprise and public sector clients. The company operates in a hybrid IT environment and had long relied on a managed service provider before seeking greater flexibility, cost control, and cloud- native scalability through AWS.

The Challenge

A chance meeting between ReluTech’ s CRO and Truelio’ s CEO at a restaurant sparked an organic conversation about cloud migrations. After a quick exchange of business cards, the dialogue continued when Truelio’ s CTO reached out to learn more. That initial outreach led to a discovery call and an in-person meeting at Truelio’ s office, where project needs were mapped out with their internal team. With alignment on scope, ReluTech brought in a dedicated project manager to lead what became a smooth, nine-month AWS migration. The relationship deepened further with executive alignment, including the CTO joining ReluTech at AWS Reinvent, underscoring the trust and long- term value built during the engagement.

The Solution

During a two-week discovery phase, they assessed Truelio’s on-prem environment and crafted a tailored plan that evolved from a basic lift-and-shift to include performance- and cost-optimized modernization within AWS. Despite initial leanings toward Microsoft, AWS became the preferred solution due to licensing costs and ReluTech’s hands-on guidance.

This successful migration also unlocked additional value through nearshore staffing and IT support, while ReluTech’s Asset Management Portal helped Truelio cut costs during the transition. The swift deal cycle— from June 13 to July 15—was seen as a strategic AWS win, overcoming competitive pressure and positioning Truelio for long-term success on the platform. 

The Result

ReluTech positioned itself not as a typical vendor but as a trusted advisor, focusing on Truelio’s specific business needs rather than offering a generic solution. From the start, ReluTech guided Truelio through every stage of the decision-making process, presenting tailored options aligned with their goals and ensuring clarity and confidence throughout. 

A key differentiator was the partnership with MSP EPI-USE, whose technical expertise and collaborative style strengthened trust in the combined team’s ability to deliver. Truelio also valued having a local partner nearby, which added a layer of accessibility and reassurance. Ultimately, the consultative approach, local presence, and the CTO’s enthusiasm following AWS re:Invent tipped the decision in AWS’s favor over Microsoft.
