A few weeks ago, I held a team meeting about the importance of setting “Big Hairy Audacious Goals” (BHAGs). It is time to view goals as more than just annual targets to review at the end of the year. We are taking our goals very seriously at Relus Technologies. In fact, all company incentives are now tied to our 2017 goals. For example, our Tesla Club was announced as an incentive for sales to over-achieve. We had 3 winners in 2016 and we plan to fill the parking lot with 6-10 additional winners in 2017! We spent time gathering input and looking at the coming year to form our BHAGs.

The top three achievements to expect from our team in 2017:

 

In 2016, Relus gained 75 new customers, received 18 new AWS certifications, and obtained AWS Partner Competency for Big Data and Marketing & Commerce. This year we are going to continue growing, but take it one step further. We set a goal to achieve our budget, including monthly profit and loss, revenue, margin, and net income. We will also  be one of the fastest growing IT firms in the country by organically doubling the size of our technical team and adding 100+ new customers.

 

It isn’t just about awards for us (although we do love collecting them). We are investing in a highly engaged team of talented professionals working to move the bar forward every day. We believe in winning as a team and encourage cross-departmental collaboration to reach goals. We hire passionate individuals who are ready to make a difference and believe in constant improvement. Our theme for the year is “Everyone Makes Their Quota in 2017” (#EMTQ2017). This is a campaign for collaboration and investing in one another’s success, as opposed to a mandatory sales order. We will work together to fill our parking lot with Teslas, reach personal and department goals, and encourage one another along the journey. The Relus team is completely committed to achieving our goals.
